Medical Massage Therapy is caring and health-promoting, focusing on regaining and maintaining good physical function related to movement, activity, posture, and health.

You and your massage therapist will delve deeper and together create a plan to address issues in the musculoskeletal system through thorough examination, tests, and recurring treatment of muscles and joints.

How we work

The techniques and tools we use include Swedish classic massage, trigger point therapy, connective tissue massage, cupping, and stretching.

Our therapist conducts tests to make a comprehensive assessment to best tailor the treatment. Often, issues such as pain, stiffness, and numbness arise due to muscle tension and its interaction with joints and nerves.

Together, you will develop a long-term plan to address your issues, with options for 3, 5, or 10 sessions.

You will likely receive recommendations on exercise, posture, ergonomics, relaxation exercises, stretching, and self-care to complement the body treatment.

Performed by a medical massage therapist

A Medical Massage Therapist is a therapist with extensive education, several advanced trainings in various techniques, and many years of experience, as well as being diplomaed and certified.

The therapist has a holistic view and focuses on the entire body. Therefore, this type of treatment works well in conjunction with other rehab and prehab via, for example, healthcare services

It’s a soft, calm, and soothing full-body massage with warm, wonderfully fragrant, and specially customized aroma oils to enhance the release of your body’s own “calm and relaxation” hormone.

During the treatment, a special cushion is used to ensure that you, as a pregnant woman, can lie comfortably. The treatment also includes a gentle and relaxing face and scalp massage.

Purpose

Things to Keep in Mind! You should be able to lie on your back for about half the duration of the treatment. If you are late in pregnancy and find this difficult, we recommend a Facial Treatment instead, where you lie on a bench with an adjustable backrest
